Call for Proposals
The OpenID Foundation is inviting proposals for its inaugural OpenID Well-Known Conference, bringing together an intimate, expert community of decision-makers, ecosystem leaders and technologists from established and emerging ecosystems around the world.
Our focus is clear: how can we use standards and technology to advance, scale and drive adoption across digital identity and credential ecosystems?
We want to hear from those with practical experiences, lessons learned and insights that others can apply within their own ecosystems and jurisdictions.
What can Others Learn from Your Story?
We are particularly interested in proposals that go beyond what you have built to explore how you got there.
For example:
- What does it actually take to move an ecosystem towards scale and widespread adoption?
- What have been the most important enablers – and obstacles?
- What lessons could another ecosystem or jurisdiction take from your experience?
- How have standards and interoperability helped you progress?
- How do you build an ecosystem that works not only for issuers, but for relying parties and credential holders too?
- What would you do differently if you were starting again?
The aim is to share knowledge that can have impact between ecosystems and jurisdictions – connecting leaders from government, finance, health, open data, enterprise and digital identity - and more; creating opportunities for established and emerging programmes to learn from one another.
From Insight to Implementation
The conference will combine strategic discussion with practical collaboration.
Our keynote and panel programme will showcase real-world experiences and lessons from ecosystem leaders, while dedicated collaborative sessions will provide opportunities to turn those conversations into action.
OpenID Foundation Working Groups are therefore also encouraged to submit proposals for Working Group meetings, demonstrations, interoperability events, hackathons or other collaborative activities that will help progress the standards ecosystems depend upon to scale.
Whether you have a compelling ecosystem story, a lesson others could benefit from, an interoperability challenge to tackle or an idea that could accelerate adoption, we want to hear from you.
Submit your proposal HERE
Tell us what you would like to bring to the OpenID Well-Known Conference and, importantly, how it could help others advance, adopt or scale.

About the OpenID Foundation
The OpenID Foundation (OIDF) is a global open standards body committed to building trusted identity ecosystems. Our mission is to lead the global community in identity standards that are secure, interoperable, and privacy respecting. Founded in 2007, we are a community of technical experts. The Foundation's OpenID Connect standard is now used by billions of people across millions of applications. More recently, the FAPI security profile - built on OAuth 2.0 - has become the standard of choice for interoperable Open Banking and Open Data implementations, while OpenID for Verifiable Credentials specifications are underpinning a new generation of digital wallets. Today, the OpenID Foundation's standards are the connective tissue that enable people to assert their identity and access their data at scale, the scale of the internet, enabling "networks of networks" to interoperate globally. Individuals, companies, governments and non-profits are encouraged to join or participate. Find out more at openid.net.
