What is the Digital Credentials Harmonized Presentation (DCHP) Working Group?

The purpose of the DCHP Working Group is to support the joint initiative by ISO/IEC JTC1/SC 17 (ISO) WG10 and WG4 and OpenID Foundation (OIDF) DCP WG to harmonize their respective credential exchange protocols for in-person and online credential presentation.

Creation of a specification that harmonizes in-person and online presentation of credential exchange protocols ISO/IEC 18013-5 DeviceRequest/Device Response and OID4VP Authorization Request/Authorization Response by supporting the coexistence of multiple credential formats (mdoc and SD-JWT VC) for in-person and online.

Governance

This joint initiative by ISO/IEC JTC1/SC 17 (ISO) WG10 and WG4 and the OIDF DCP WG is governed by all OIDF policies including the OpenID Process Document that outlines the process for the creation of specifications and the generation of Implementers Drafts and Final Specifications.

Please note the proposers of this WG recognized the uniqueness of this joint initiative and proposed Digital Credentials Harmonized Presentation Working Group Working Procedures that the OIDF Specifications Council approved as part of the WG approval process. These rules are to be implemented and enforced in parallel to existing OIDF policies.

Proposed Specifications
