Published March 30, 2026

Updated April 1,2026 -- Please note that this public review period for Errata to OpenID Connect for Identity Assurance 1.0 has been superseded by a combined public review period for two Identity Assurance specifications which can be found here: https://openid.net/public-review-period-of-proposed-errata-to-openid-identity-assurance-specifications.

The OpenID eKYC & IDA working group recommends the approval of Errata corrections to the following specification:

An Errata version of a specification incorporates corrections identified after the Final Specification was published. This would be the first set of errata corrections for OpenID Connect for Identity Assurance 1.0. The corresponding previously approved specification is available at:

This note starts the 45-day public review period for the specification draft in accordance with the OpenID Foundation IPR policies and procedures. Unless issues are identified during the review that the working group believes must be addressed by revising the draft, this review period will be followed by a 14-day voting period during which OpenID Foundation members will vote on whether to approve this draft as an OpenID Errata Specification.

The relevant dates are:

  • Errata public review period: Monday, March 30, 2026 to Thursday, May 14, 2026 (45 days)
  • Errata vote announcement: Thursday, May 7, 2026
  • Errata official voting period: Friday, May 15, 2026 to Friday, May 29, 2026
