OpenID Foundation Co-Sponsoring Santander Digital Trust Hackathon

Published November 16, 2020

The OpenID Foundation is excited to be a co-sponsor for the Santander Digital Trust Hackathon. This global virtual hackathon will capitalize on Santander’s Digital Trust API and the need to innovate how data is shared, verified and trusted. The goal is to reimagine how we verify identity and validate data, while ensuring users' privacy.

OpenID Foundation member, yes.com, is contributing the following to the Hackathon:

  • provide our APIs for identity assurance (OpenID Connect 4 Identity Assurance) in a sandbox so developers can take a look onto emerging standard
  • support developers in implementing their prototypes
  • present about OIDC4IDA (including yes.com experience)
  • promoting the Hackathon/OIDF/OIDC via yes.com social network channels

The Hackathon is open to everyone; developers, innovators, marketers, business experts etc. You may work individually, in teams of 2-5, and companies and nonprofit organizations are welcome to participate.

There is a prize pool of $15,000 to be given to the top ten winners.

November 10: Registration opens and the Hackathon begins
December 10: Hackathon closes
December 11-17: Jury reviews the projects
