Calling all Implementers: Shared Signals Interop at Gartner IAM Summit

Published July 19, 2024

Join us for a Shared Signals Interop Event at Gartner IAM in Grapevine, Texas (December 9-11)

Momentum continues to build around the OpenID Shared Signals Framework, CAEP, and RISC standards. Leading companies have announced their support, and implementations are now in production.

Building on the success of the first CAEP interoperability event, The OpenID Foundation and the Shared Signals Work Group (SSWG) are delighted to announce that we are returning to Gartner’s IAM Summit for a second interop event, this time in Grapevine Texas, December 9-11 2024.

During this event, we will demonstrate interoperability of implementations of:

  • The Shared Signals Framework (SSF)
  • Continuous Access Evaluation Profile (CAEP)
  • Risk and Incident Sharing and Collaboration (RISC)
  • SCIM Events

How to Get Involved

There is room for up to 10 implementers and you are invited to register your interest with Atul Tulshibagwale, co-chair of the SSWG, at atul@sgnl.ai by August 1st, 2024. Note that this is not a final commitment to participate, but an expression of interest. The final scope of the event will be determined between the SSWG and the implementers who register interest. You will have the opportunity to confirm participation once all interested parties have met to agree on the scope and format of the interoperability event.

The Gartner IAM Summit will feature a breakout session and two interoperability sessions where the implementations will be discussed.

  • In the breakout session, we will display the matrix of interoperability test results for all committed implementers.
  • In the interoperability sessions, conference attendees will have the opportunity to interact with the implementers and watch the live implementations interoperate with each other.

OIDF will publicize the participants’ interop test results after the event takes place - including whether they did or did not achieve interoperability for specific use cases.

Note that we can enable remote participation for offline testing and inclusion in test results, but remote participation is not possible during the summit.

About the OpenID Foundation

The OpenID Foundation (OIDF) is a global open standards body committed to helping people assert their identity wherever they choose. Founded in 2007, we are a community of technical experts leading the creation of open identity standards that are secure, interoperable, and privacy preserving. The Foundation’s OpenID Connect standard is now used by billions of people across millions of applications. In the last five years, the Financial Grade API has become the standard of choice for Open Banking and Open Data implementations, allowing people to access and share data across entities. Today, the OpenID Foundation’s standards are the connective tissue to enable people to assert their identity and access their data at scale, the scale of the internet, enabling “networks of networks” to interoperate globally. Individuals, companies, governments and non-profits are encouraged to join or participate.
