[OpenID] Opt out of Yahoo OpenID?

I work for Yahoo!

As others pointed out, you do need to opt in to use the openid service provided by Yahoo. If you do not want to use openid, there is nothing to do. Also note that even when you use Yahoo ID to sign in to a site that accepts openid, there is no personal information being shared. By default only an encrypted identifier (e.g. https://me.yahoo.com/a/D.GGRt8BtuO56ICRqYtp287qNA) will be shared with the RP.

Separately as I see it using openid only helps you protect your information (otherwise you have to normally signup to other sites). What are your concerns?

Thanks

Naveen

From
what
I
gathered,
you
actually
have
to
activate
OpenID
voluntarily
on
your
Yahoo!
account,
so
it's
actually
an
opt-in
system...
like
you
want.

From
openid.yahoo.com:

"Are
you
a
fan?

When
you
enable
your
Yahoo!
account
for
OpenID
access,
you
can
also
get
a
cool
Flickr
OpenID
identifier."

Cheers,

Your
data
will
not
be
released
to
other
sites.

How
can
I
Opt
out?
Yahoo
has
no
information
on
this.

Will

I
