[OpenID] phpMyid

i was looking around for an openid server that will work with my hosting
service and i found this http://siege.org/projects/phpMyID/ its quite easy
and no need for the openid library but i noticed so few use it..atleast in
this mail list threads.
is there a serious problem with it such as security..etc?
