We're intending on utilising the SourceForge OpenID application for an upcoming project within our travel company that will integrate multiple applications.

I just want to say thank you for developing the software as it has been a massive help to us.

Totally agree with Joseph Engo: it was LESS convenient to sign up using OpenID than it would otherwise have been.

Great way to make OpenID look like it totally sucks.

How can I create an OpenID login. Or it´s to complex for small niche sites?

I am very disappointed with their implementation of OpenID. They still require you to sign up after you login with your OpenID. This means selecting a username, password, entering your email address, etc. After going through all of that, you still need to verify your email address.

Although I understand and agree with the email address verification. I believe that requiring an entire sign up screen _after_ authenticating with OpenID is really mocking the service. This is NOT how OpenID is supposed to work. There is a big difference between requiring some additional fields not sent during the OpenID authentication and requiring the user to re-enter all of their information.

I have had a SourceForge account for many years now. I was going to vote for the phpMyAdmin project, but figured what the heck lets try the OpenID login. I quickly regretted my decision as I wasted 4 times as much time going that route.
